Graduated in Composition by the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Gigito has dedicated his studies to the various styles of banjo playing for over 10 years. He was a member of the group Camará Ensembled, a chamber group dedicated to contemporary music concerts. Currently works as performer in festivals all over Brasil. Have recorded for many country and pop music artists such as Álvaro Assmar, Daniel Mead, and Carlinhos Brown. Aside from the concerts, Gigito has focused in teaching his skills and love for Banjo to students from all over the country.
